GLENBROOK HOUSE AND COTTAGE Nestled in the Penguin Valley with its own private surrounds, sits Glenbrook Cottage. This historical miner's cottage built in 1903 is your ideal get away and home away from home. Fully self contained and very secluded overlooking beautiful native forest.

It is also ideal for families, singles or groups as a holiday destination. As you drive down into the valley, across the little bridge and over the creek you will feel as though you are stepping into another world. You enter into the secluded valley, peaceful and beautiful, yet only 3klms from the beach and the charming and picturesque town of Penguin, home of the big Penguin
Glenbrook House and Cottage sits on 50 acres of seclusion, in the heart of the valley. We are a designated land for wild life and conservation area for Tasmanian fauna and flora. An abundance of wild life await you. Start the day with freshly baked bread bought to the cottage every alternate day and enjoy the breakfast provisions which are included in the tariff. Then wander outside and listen to the sound of the birds. Relax and read a book or go for a stroll along the beach, perhaps have a coffee or lunch at one of the restaurants or cafes in the seaside town of Penguin only 5 minutes drive away. You may wish to take a walk into our forest, around the hazelnut orchard and listen to the sound of the bubbling creek as you feel the stress disappear.
In winter toast your toes around the cosy log fire and watch a movie from our DVD collection, warm up with some of our delicious home made soup. If you want a break or just enjoy being in nature then Glenbrook Cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Worlds away from the hustle and bustle. The cottage is
very comfortable and ideal for couples as a romantic getaway.
On
other days you may wish to take a day trip to one of the many diverse
locations such as the iconic Cradle Mountain. Perhaps visit the
beautiful caves at Guns Plains or see the Tasmania Devils at the Wild Life
Park. The majestic Leven Canyon is just a short drive away as are
many spectacular waterfalls.
